Throughout the process of creating my magazine I have used many different types of technology such as-

Photoshop- I have learned that with Photoshop you can make any picture you take on a camera look so much different. You can make an average picture on a camera look professional with the use of Photoshop by adjusting things such as hue and saturation and using tools such as spot healing brush to get rid of spots. Photoshop played a big part in making my magazine look like that ones that I was comparing it to. 

 

Wix- With Wix I learned how to create my own unique website for my magazine. I tried editing quite a lot of my pictures on Wix as well as on Photoshop to see if it had anything different to offer.

 

Wall Wisher- With Wall Wisher I found a very different way of presenting information instead of using the common websites such as word and PowerPoint.

 

Slide share- With Slide Share I found something which was similar to PowerPoint however your work could be shared with others which resulted in creative ideas being able to be shared.

 

Prezi- Prezi is another website that taught me how to present information in a very different format. With Prezi you essentially create an online mind map were you share your information.

 

Since the beginning of the course I do believe that my skills have developed. At the start of the course I struggled when using technology such as Photoshop as it was so new and different to anything that I had used before. However since the beginning of the course and the beginning of the coursework I feel that I am a lot more comfortable with it and that my skills have vastly improved. At the start I could use basic tools such as making a picture black and white. Now I can do much more advanced things that can really change a picture when using tools such as spot healing tool and magnetic lasso tool. I feel that I am a lot better at using a camera and taking photos. At the beginning of the course when taking photos I was unaware of things such as the rule of thirds. However since learning and using these rules my photos have been of a far higher standard. I feel a lot more comfortable using the camera in general due to the fact that I have had a lot of practice and improved on errors that I previously made.
